HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple's default photo format on iPhone and iPad. It uses HEVC compression to produce smaller files than JPEG while maintaining equal or better quality. However, not all devices and applications support HEIC natively.
Why do my HEIC files need server conversion?expand_more
Browsers cannot natively decode HEIC/HEIF files. The HEIC files are sent to our conversion server to be decoded into JPEG format, which can then be used to build the PDF. The PDF generation itself happens entirely in your browser using jsPDF.
